# What is MAIN

## Vision

Over the past few decades, online communities have become a primary mode of communication for many people. However, these communities are often owned by companies that **use our data and activity** for profit, rather than by the individuals who participate in them.

MAIN aims to revolutionize the concept of online communities with a new type of **web3** social network that allows people to truly **own** and build a new economy around the communities they participate in. This enables individuals to **monetize** their time and effort in a way that was previously impossible.

## Mission

MAIN's mission is to provide people with the **best tools** and solutions for **creating** and **developing** web3 communities that they can truly own and unite around.

We accomplish this through three **key** tools:

1. **Smart contracts** that enable community ownership and users' interactions
2. Applications and **interfaces** that facilitate community management and collaboration
3. **Reward systems** for distributing income among community members

We take an incremental approach to innovation at MAIN, prioritizing the convenience and experience of end-users. We believe that everyone should be able to use MAIN apps without requiring any additional knowledge, allowing them to effortlessly explore the world of web3.
