We understand how challenging it can be to build online communities. That's why the majority of tokens from the MAIN Ecosystem Fund go towards supporting them. The more coins a community has and the more evenly these coins are distributed among their holders, the more rewards it can receive from the MAIN fund.
Each community's token reward forms a pool that is shared among its active members.
To unlock rewards in a specific community, you need to purchase its coins, no matter how many. The more coins you hold, the greater the percentage of daily rewards you can earn.
Some communities may also set limits on the minimum number of coins required to receive rewards in them. You can find these restrictions in the board rules or on the rewards banner.
Here are some tips for selecting a community to buy coins from:
Choose communities that genuinely interest you. This way, you can earn tokens through enjoyable activities.
Consider the value of the community, its level of decentralization and its reward pool. The more expensive the community and the more evenly distributed its coins, the more rewards it distributes.
Pay attention to whether the board is disabled from rewards (due to small capitalization or violations of the rules of the community). These boards do not have a reward banner or their monthly rewards are 0. On these boards, you will not be able to receive rewards until the board clears the violations.
Account for the number of active participants. Popular boards usually have many participants, resulting in stiff competition for rewards, reducing the average rewards per member.
Examine the boards' content and rules before purchasing their coins or posting to avoid undesired bans or content removal by moderators.
Pay attention to the moderation team and key coin holders. As a general rule, the board is more stable if the team has a better reputation, and the coins are distributed more evenly among the participants.
Remember that when you buy coins, you do not lose your tokens (except for the commission for the purchase), but rather acquire board coins in exchange for them. You can always sell your coins back and even make a profit if the coin's price increases since your purchase.
Once you have bought some community coins, your engagement in the board (posting, commenting, and rating) will begin to generate rewards. The more active you are in the community, the more rewards you can earn from its pool.
You can track your activity on your coins page or the community-specific activity page.
To increase your rewards, you can:
Be more active in the communities whose coins you own;
Engage in the life of multiple communities and earn rewards in each of them;
Purchase more coins in the communities you spend the most time in.
